We want to connect YOU with ONE student

WHY?

• Students need to be connected with followers of Christ
• Students need someone praying for them
• Students need to feel cared for and valued

HOW?

• We will facilitate a connection between YOU and ONE student
• We will ask each student for a picture, cell#, email and 3 prayer needs for the year
• We are asking for a donation of $15 for a gift from you to your student! This year we are going to provide them with a Walmart Gift Card as a gesture showing you not only care for their spiritual needs but physical needs as well
• We will encourage our student to reach out with additional prayer needs and concerns as the year goes on and pray for this connection to become natural and effective

God knows the number of hairs on our heads and He knows who and how many students He intends to impact with these Basic Connections. Thanks so much for caring about these students, it will mean more than you ever know.

We will collect your information and as we make connections on campus this year, we will work to pair you with a student you can be praying for.

Some students already understand the power of prayer and will immediately want to make a connection. However, we expect some students will be hesitant to give out their information, hesitant to be vulnerable  or may need some time to just build a relationship with us before they are comfortable. We thought adding a care package component would help foster this connection a little quicker. 

We will be asking for a $15 donation for a gift card once you are matched, but if this is a burden for you, please go ahead and fill out the information to make a connection and we will make sure your student gets the same gift as everyone else! We trust God to provide all our needs. 

We also expect that some of the prayer requests may seem silly or inconsequential. As we disciple students, we meet them where they are. Sometimes our needs reveal our heart. Find the deeper needs you can be praying for if and when this happens. We will not alter the student's requests. 

We will provide the student with your name, cell#, email address and photo. If your are able to grow a deeper connection with your student, you are welcome to exchange more information at that time.
